Based in the beautiful Scottish Highlands, inspiration is all around with the added bonus of the wealth of native and rare breeds of sheep. This treasure trove of fibre and inspiration filters into my weaving spinning and bespoke garments. Sharing skills is also an important part of my work, so workshops are available for groups and individuals.
Bespoke fibre and fleece
My routes are deeply embedded in woolly and fibre textiles. Hand spun yarns, weaving are my core skills. I love to share techniques and regularly have an open studio on a Thursday. This allows me to share and demonstrate skills to others. A passion is quality fibre from local sheep and Alpaca, with a little pinch of the exotic, silk. I use the phrase ‘There is no such word as can’t’ I’m always up for a challenge or something a little different
The studio has an open day on a Thursday 1030 - 1600
Often a busy day as there are several ladies that join me for the day and we spin, weave, knit, sew and in general laugh and put the world to rights.
